David has many years in a variety of business industries. He graduated Colorado State University with a degree in Restaurant and Resort Management and completed the EMBA program at University of New Mexico in 2013. His passion for the food and beverage industry began in college while working at various restaurants to pay his tuition. David has very loving family including his wife Aimee, his two kids Wheeler and Oakley, and an enthusiastic big black lab named Ranger.
John graduated Colorado State University in 1998 and as his father likes to tell people, “crammed four years of college into five years.” He was introduced to both great beer and David Smidt during his time at Fort Collins. John spent 13 years teaching 6th grade social studies and three summers working with Mother’s Brewing Company in Springfield, Missouri. With the launch of Mother Road Mobile Canning, Missouri, in 2014, he finally made the full, logical transition to canning beer.

Meet Robert ” ZaZa” Zarate. ZaZa moved to New Mexico from Texas in 2007 and now they won’t let him leave…. because they love him so much! He is a line operator, closet gourmet chef, a father and a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt. If you see ZaZa out about town, rest assured he’ll be in a well-ironed shirt enjoying a serious stout or a big bowl of Pho.
